2024 Summer Art Exhibit
The Town of Riverview’s Art Procurement Committee wants to thank all of the local artists (it was a requirement that you had to be a resident of Albert County) who entered their artwork into the 2024 Summer Art Exhibit. In total we received 25 pieces of artwork and they were displayed at the Riverview Library from June 25- July 24, 2024. The committee chose five pieces to purchase and the public voted on “Viewers Choice” and Sandpiper’s Piping by Hailey Hamilton was chosen. The other five pieces of artwork purchased included:
- Mackerel, a water color by Heather Silliker
- Be like a tree… , a mixed medium piece by Patricia Winans
- SOLITUDE, a mixed media piece by Ji Hyang Ryu
- Red Winged Blackbird Spring, acrylic on canvas by Dianne Ryan
- Shear Hinchcliffe, an ink drawing by Stacy MacKenzie
The artwork will be presented on November 25th at 7 p.m. at the Council meeting in Riverview Town Hall Council Chambers. They will be installed in council chambers before the new year.
Please note, launched this past summer, an online digital “Art Gallery” of previous works purchased by the committee and the 2024 pieces will be added before the new year.
