Celebrate Valentine's with the K9s

You're invited to an extra special Valentine's celebration this week at Holy Whale Beer Hall where Riverview Fire and Rescue's Facility K9, Tanker, will be sharing some exciting news!

Tanker is part of the Facility Dog Program provided by Canine Therapy for First Responders Atlantic (CTFFR) whose mission is to “introduce a K9 Therapy Dog program at no cost to aid in the mental health of First Responders”. The organization provides a lifetime support model – from procurement, to training, veterinary services, food, and support for handlers throughout their journey with the dog. This program requires no cost from first responders and is generously fully funded by the organization’s community sponsors, partnerships, private donations, and funding opportunities across Canada.

This week's Valentine's event is a fundraising opportunity for CTFFR to provide the resources needed by first responders and their canine companions - with $3 from every pint purchased going toward the organization. Money raised will help support Service and Facility Dog programs across Atlantic Canada, as well as directly impact Tanker and primary Handler. Lt. David Murray, as they continue their training in essential therapeutic and educational work throughout our community and beyond.

Share the love this Valentine's Day by giving back to our four-legged friends who support our first responders. Bring your pup and celebrate Tanker's major milestone in the K9 community, putting Riverview on the map with the most prestigious working K9s in North America.
