RECOMMENDATIONS FROM COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
- Proposed Changes to Building By-Law - Council passed a motion to direct staff to proceed with the legal adoption of Building By-law 300-11, subject to section 15 of the Local Governance Act and section 112(1)b) of the Community Planning Act.
- Proposed Rezoning - Buckingham Avenue - Council passed a motion to direct staff to move forward in the process in considering the rezoning application for property located on Buckingham Avenue, bearing PID 00993915 from Single Unit Residential – R1 to Multiple Unit Dwelling – R3 for the purpose of two multi-unit buildings.
- Set Date for Public Hearing - Buckingham Avenue - WHEREAS Riverview Town Council is considering the adoption of amending By-law 300-7-10 in order to rezone the property on Buckingham Road bearing PID 00993915 from R1 – Single Unit Dwelling to R3 – Multiple Unit Dwelling in order to permit two multi-unit buildings; BE IT RESOLVED THAT: A public hearing to consider objections to the proposed by-law be scheduled for Monday, May 8, at 6:30pm in Council Chambers; and Zoning By-law 300-7-10 be referred to the Planning Advisory Committee for its written views;
- Community Investment Grants - Council awarded community investment grants to Second Chance Workshop ($1000), Association of the 8th Canadian Hussars (postponed until more information is received); Albert County Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards ($1500); Transportation Club of Canada for their Women in Transportation Gala ($300); Graduate Committee in support of the University de Moncton Faculty of Law Banquet ($501); Greater Moncton Women's Progress Club's Girl's Night Out Fundraiser ($500).

- By-Law 100-10-06, Amendment to Procedural By-Law - Second Reading, in full, and third reading, by title only
- By-Law 300-11, Building Building - First reading, by title only
- The first readings were done for the by-laws relating to Local Improvement in the Town of Riverview focusing on Windsor Court, Elmore Court, Inwood Court, Birkdale Drive, and Darwin Drive.
NEW BUSINESS
- Resolution - Application to Borrow $3,161,000 in the general fund for transportation services, roads and streets reconstruction and $1,830,000 in the utility fund for environmental health services, water projects (watermain replacements).
- Appointment of Building Inspectors - Council appointed Hano Derckson, Denis Frenette, Samuel Frenette, Patrick Gaudet, Martin Picot, Adrien Robichaud, and Bill Wright as building inspectors through the Southeast Regional Service Commission.
- Award of Tender 23-01 Asphalt Concrete Patching - (Utility & General) - Various Streets - Council moved to award tender 23-01 to MacDonald Paving and Construction, a division of Miller Paving Limited in the amount of $360,350.00 plus HST.
- Award of Request for Proposal - #2023-01 Housing Needs Assessment & Affordable Housing Strategy - Council awarded the Request for Proposal #2023-01 to Stantec Consulting Ltd. in the amount of $44,275.30 plus HST.
- Award of Request for Quotation 23-04 Supply & Delivery of Crushed Rock - Council moved to award the Request for Quote #23-04 to Grey Rock Materials Inc. in the amount of $86,875.00 plus HST\
- Award of Tender 23-26 Supply & Delivery of One New 2023 4x4 Crew Cab Pick-Up Truck - moved that Riverview Town Council award Tender 23-26 to Taylor Ford Sales Ltd. in the amount of $57,451.50 plus HST.
- Award of Tender 23-50 Street Paving & Curb Work - Various Streets - Council moved to award tender 23-50 in the amount of $600,870.00 plus HST to MacArthur's Paving and Construction Co. Ltd.
- Award of Tender 23-68 Supply and Delivery of Mobile Column Lifts - Council moved to award tender 23-68 for the Supply & Delivery of Mobile Column Lifts to H+D Diamond Inc. in the amount of $89,300.00 plus HST.
