Presentations and Delegations
Virtual presentation by Robert Allen of MJMA and Stephen Kopp of Acre Architects, and their respective project teams – A presentation was made by MJMA and Acre Architects regarding the progress for the design of the Riverview Recreation Complex.
External Reports
Building and Planning – Development activity report (including year-to-date numbers) and the Building Permit Report for April 2023 were shared.
Codiac RCMP shared activity reports for the tri-communities for April 2023
Departmental Reports
All departments shared their reports for May 2023.
Recommendations
The Committee of the Whole made a motion to recommend that Riverview Town Council accept the staff recommendation to proceed with the winter parking alert system as a pilot project for the 2023-2024 winter season from December 1 to March 31, during the hours of midnight to 7 a.m. and further direct staff to explore alert options and return to council with a budget recommendation.
The Committee of the Whole recommend that Riverview Town Council accept the staff recommendation to approve the Design Development Phase as presented and use it as the foundation to develop construction documents for tendering.
The Committee of the Whole recommend that Riverview Town Council award a grant to River of Pride in the amount of $1,000 for a 2SLGBTQIA+ prom event they are hosting at the Riverview Arts Center.
The Committee of the Whole recommend that Riverview Town Council adopts the usual summer hours of eliminating the COW meeting in July and August and starting the RCM meetings at 4:00 p.m.

Other Business
The Grant Report for the month of May 2023 can be found here. Staff approved two recommendations within the grant report to Isabella Kiley in the amount of $100 and to the RHS Booster Club – 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament in the amount of $300.
Councillors provided committee updates for select Town committees. Councillor Murphy reported on the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion committee, Councillor Johnson reported on the 50th Anniversary committee and Mayor LeBlanc reported on the Southeast Regional Service Commission activity.
