Fire Prevention Week 2024 is observed from October 6-12. This year's theme “Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!™", works to educate everyone about the importance of having working smoke alarms in the home. Advanced planning saves lives - here are some helpful resources to ensure your household is prepared in the unlikely event of a fire.

In advance or at the event, visitors can also sign up for Riverview's new alert system to receive text and email alerts for things like the winter parking ban and emergency measure notifications (i.e. storm updates, road closures).
