Acceptable Events
Events will be posted on the calendar if they meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Organized by a Town of Riverview affiliated group
- Funded/sponsored in full, or in part, by the Town of Riverview
- Organized by a community organization, service club, or local sports association operating within the Town of Riverview that benefits Riverview residents
- Located in a facility owned or leased by the Town of Riverview
- Is a family-friendly activity or event
- Encourages participation in recreation or arts and culture
Unacceptable Events
Please note that events will be rejected if they:
- Encourage violences, discrimination, or bigotry
- Conflict with municipal, provincial, or federal legislation and/or promote illegal activity
- Are commercial in nature, and in the Town's sole opinion, are attempting to advertise, promote, or sell products or services of an individual business
- Are yard or garage sales (unless they are organized by a non-profit, service club, or other community group)
- Private events
We will try to approve or deny postings within two business days; please check back after that time to see if your event has been posted. You will not be notified directly when a decision has been made.
The Town of Riverview reserves the right to post, refuse to post, or remove any event from our online calendar at any time, without notice.
