Mill Creek Nature Park

Mill Creek Nature Park is a flourishing 330 acre destination to enjoy nature, play, and sport while achieving a sustainable balance between conserving the natural ecosystem and fostering sound economic development. The park has been embraced by the residents as a place to relax, learn, and reconnect with our natural world. With 15 km of cross country ski trails and 3 km of marked snowshoe and fat bike trails, this park has something for everyone no matter the season. Visitors can access the park via three routes, the end of Runneymeade Road, Robertson Street or by parking at Fox Field on Hillsborough Road and crossing the road to join the trail near the old Garden Centre. Use of trails is weather dependent. Check trail conditions on our Closures & Cancellations page.

The Mill Creek Nature Park Plan is a result of the passion and engagement of local students, residents and community stakeholders. Keep up with activity at the park by following the Mill Creek Nature Park Facebook page

Friends of Mill Creek Nature Park

Charged with stewarding the Mill Creek Nature Park vision and development is the Friends of Mill Creek Committee. The “Friends” are a committed group of community volunteers whose contributions of expertise and time are dedicated to guiding the development of the Mill Creek Nature Park. Specific development goals include increasing sustainable year-round use of the park trails and spaces, building and nurturing partnerships with community organizations and groups that share in the park vision, and fostering opportunities for conservation education. The Committee does this through ongoing awareness and engagement activities, trail development, and overseeing installation and servicing of park amenities.
