Serving More Than Coffee: Aaron's Coffee House Grand Opening Celebration

When Aaron Neilson and his wife Shauntá embarked on their journey of serving coffee, they faced the crucial decision of where to anchor their business. After a thorough search they discovered a space that fosters local entrepreneurship and community spirit, where they could not only serve coffee but also nurture connections with the town of Riverview.

Driven by a commitment to raising awareness for autism and mental health, Aaron’s Coffee House recently held a fundraiser with initiatives to support individuals and families grappling with these challenges. Aaron finds personal motivation in advocating for these causes.

“At a young age, I was diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression,” explains Aaron. “My youngest son Makhi was also diagnosed with autism, which is why I want to help others that are struggling.”

Aaron’s Coffee House motto, “spreading awareness for autism and mental health one cup at a time," encapsulates their mission. Beyond crafting unique beverages, such as their beloved frozen peanut butter mocha and almond dark chocolate latte, Aaron and his team prioritize cultivating a warm, familial atmosphere.

As they gear up for their grand opening on Saturday, May 11, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., located at 708 Coverdale Road inside The People’s Pavillion, Aaron invites everyone to join in the celebration. Visitors can expect not only an array of beverages but also a selection of handmade magnets and other artisanal offerings — perfect for Mother’s Day gifts. The festivities promise a vibrant atmosphere brimming with community spirit, including music, games, giveaways, and much more.
